I am born and raised in Alaska. I moved to Dallas at the end of 2017 for work. I worked in the Airline Industry for over a decade. I worked in Management on the Operations side, loved the things it taught me over the many years, started in the airline industry when I was 19 years old.

With COVID like many others, it forced me to transition into something different. I really thought I was going to be there forever, but life had other plans for me. With COVID, it allowed me to pick up a camera again. I hadn't picked one up since I live in Alaska.

I have always been into photography, with where I am from there was always something to take pictures of, especially nature and when the airplane use to take off. I feel in love with documenting/capturing the world around me to tell the story to people who don't get the chance to see everything I see on a daily. I also started taking pictures for our family business my mother and I had. I took pictures for our social media campaigns and just new outfits that we would receive in the store daily.

With COVID there was a woman at a restaurant that approached me and she wanted me to take pictures of her daughter for her graduation. She wanted me to tell her daughters graduation story through my lens. That one encounter opened my eyes of turning photography into a business for me. 

 

I have always been a huge advocate for capturing and telling people's stories and over time I have realized that I am not just someone who take pictures, but I am someone who is a storyteller.
